Quartz stone color classification machine

The VBS factory in the third quarter has just completed the installation of the ANYSORT color separator. Color separation (also known as color classification) is an indispensable step in the production of quartz powder and sand. Initially, the quartz rock quarried will be in the rough form, which is unable to avoid dust and rock stains. According to the process, VBS will use the rough milling technology, combining the water system to wash the stone, remove some of the dirt before putting it in the vibrating screen to classify into different sizes. At this point, the product, after going through the grinding, cleaning and classifying processes, have reached different sizes, suitable for specific purposes. However, they cannot be considered as final products if they have not been color separated, creating products of relatively homogeneous quality.

Operation principle of color classification machine

The working principle of the color separator is that the digital CCD camera collects signals, then analyzes, processes and compares the collected signals, eliminating unsatisfactory materials.

When the vibrator starts to work, material from the storage hopper is delivered to the channels when the color separator operates. When the material is dropped, the CCD Camera detects unqualified particles and impurities, then transmits a signal to the injector control to blow the unqualified and impurities out.


The VBS quartz stone powder factory project, which is being constructed, managed and supervised by ICMC, is expected to be completed by the end of August 2020.
